Privacy Policy

Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, used for account creation, sign-in, and password recovery. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile info via Google Sign-In.
- Content you create — journal entries, notes, habits, tasks, budget entries, reading and watchlist items, reference items, and shopping lists. This content is stored in our database (Supabase/Postgres) and is private to your account.
- Images — any photos you attach to journal entries, notes, or item covers are stored in private cloud storage, accessible only via time-limited signed links tied to your account.
- Device and usage data — basic app functionality data (e.g., push notification tokens if you enable notifications). We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- Biometric data — if you enable Face ID / fingerprint app lock, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never receive, see, or store your biometric data.
How we use your information
To provide core app functionality (storing and syncing your content across your devices), to authenticate you and secure your account, to send account-related emails (verification, password reset), and to send push notifications if you've enabled them. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored using Supabase (Postgres database, authentication, and storage), a third-party backend provider, with row-level security ensuring only you can access your own data. Data is stored offline-first on your device and synced to the cloud when connected.
Your choices and rights
You can access, edit, or delete your content at any time within the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings — this action is irreversible. You can disable push notifications and biometric app lock at any time in Settings.
Children's privacy
Wovena is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
